Overview

Meghalaya, state of India, located in the northeastern part of the country. It is bounded by the Indian state of Assam to the north and northeast and by Bangladesh to the south and southwest. The state capital is the hill town of Shillong, located in east-central Meghalaya. Highlights: Meghalaya was formed by carving out two districts from the state of Assam: the United Khasi Hills and Jaintia Hills, and the Garo Hills.

Know Before You Go

Travelers are advised to carry a valid government-issued photo ID at all times. The region experiences variable weather, so packing both light and warm clothing is recommended. Respect local customs and traditions, especially while visiting villages or religious sites. Carry sufficient cash as digital payments may not be accepted in remote areas. Moderate physical activity is involved, so basic fitness is helpful. Be prepared for scenic drives through hilly terrain and occasional delays due to weather or road conditions.

Confirmation and cancellation policy

All bookings will be confirmed only after the receipt of full payment. A confirmation email with travel details will be shared upon booking.

• Cancellations made 30 days before the travel date will incur a 10% cancellation fee.
• Cancellations made between 15–30 days before travel will attract a 50% cancellation charge.
• No refund will be provided for cancellations made within 15 days of travel or for no-shows.

In case of any unavoidable circumstances such as natural calamities or political unrest, alternate arrangements or dates may be provided depending on availability.

Payment and Refund Policy

Full payment must be made at the time of booking to confirm the reservation. Payments can be made via credit/debit cards, net banking, or UPI. In case of cancellations, refund eligibility depends on the timing of the request and any non-refundable components like hotel bookings or permits. Refunds, if applicable, will be processed within 7–10 working days. Any bank charges or gateway fees incurred during payment or refund will be borne by the customer.
