Sikkim is a state in northeast India, bordered by Bhutan, Tibet and Nepal. Part of the Himalayas, the area has a dramatic landscape that includes India’s highest mountain, 8,586m Kangchenjunga. In case the travel permit is not given by the tourism department due to landslides or bad weather conditions, we will arrange for an alternate sightseeing | During the rush period, guests may be required to wait at the 2nd Mile checkpoint for the travel permit to arrive. It may take 30 – 45mins for the permits to arrive. No visa is required for Indian citizens traveling to Sikkim or Darjeeling. However, foreign nationals must obtain a Protected Area Permit (PAP) to enter Sikkim, which can be arranged through registered travel agents or upon arrival at designated checkpoints with proper documentation including a valid passport and visa for India.
Know Before You Go
The region has variable weather; carry warm clothing regardless of season. Altitude can affect travelers—acclimatize accordingly. Network connectivity may be limited in higher altitudes. Always carry an ID card and keep photocopies of important documents. Respect local customs, avoid plastic usage in eco-sensitive zones, and follow the guide’s instructions during excursions.
Terms and Conditions
Please inform nationality and country of travellers if Non-Indian travellers are travelling. Tsomgo Lake, Nathula Pass, Lachung and Lachen are subject to Permissibility. If permit application is not approved, then alternative tours will be provided. Please carry a valid voter ID card or Passport along with 4 pieces of passport size photographs for all passengers. COVID-19 Negative report required to enter in Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, West Bengal and Sikkim. Fully vaccinated tourists can enter Sikkim via Melli & Rangpo check post without RTPCR, upon producing valid vaccination documents. Partially vaccinated tourists or those below 18 years must produce a negative RTPCR report taken within 72 hours before entry. If any emergency lockdown or new COVID-19 guidelines are announced by any State government for your travel destinations, the tour will be postponed. Refund not possible. For ILP, please send all passenger details 20 days before the journey. ILP approval depends on Government officials of Arunachal Pradesh. No refund will be entertained in case of disasters such as political unrest, bad weather, earthquakes, or any other natural calamities beyond control. Cancellation and Refund Policy strictly depends on suppliers – Airlines, Railways, Hotels, Transporters, etc. Driver details will be sent 24 hours prior to the travel date Children above 12+ years will be charged 100% as per Adult Rate. All bookings are subject to availability and will be confirmed upon receipt of payment. You will receive confirmation via email along with vouchers for your travel and stay. In case of unforeseen circumstances like weather disruptions or political unrest, the itinerary may be modified or canceled with due notice and partial refunds or rescheduling options will be offered accordingly.
Payment and Refund Policy
Full payment is required at the time of booking to confirm your spot. Cancellations made 30 days before departure will receive a full refund minus a standard service fee. Cancellations between 15–29 days incur 50% charges, and within 14 days, no refund will be issued. Refunds, if applicable, will be processed within 7–10 working days after cancellation.
Additional Information
Carry comfortable walking shoes for sightseeing. Photography may be restricted at some religious or border-sensitive sites. Local cuisine is part of the experience, but international food options are limited in remote areas. It is recommended to carry necessary medication, as medical facilities may be basic in some locations.
